Well, I've seen a lot of people who give a price range and briefly say what they want in a vehicle, but it doesn't help. So here I have for anyone who wants to know what to buy, a little guide to help the members/moderation team help you.
1) What are you looking for in a car? This includes things like, but aren't limited to: domestic or import, 4, 6, or 8cyl, favorite body styles, etc. 2) Budget: No, you cannot get a Skyline with $7,000 3) What kind of racing you like! I can't express how hard it is to answer car questions without knowing this. If you want to simply drag race, fine. Tell us. I'm not going to reccomend an '86 Corolla GTS hatch to a drag racer, just like I'm not reccomending an Integra Type R to someone learning braking drifts. If you want to track race, GREAT! Tell us! 4) If you don't understand, ask! Don't spout off anything about wanting a turbo kit with NOS if you don't know what the hell any of this stuff does, okay? There's a million things to do to a car. This is not "show car dragsters online.com" got it? 5) This is possibly the one to tie the previous ones together. Ideas of what you might want to buy overall, ask for the pros and cons if you don't know them, and if you do, why are you posting on what to buy? But if you say "I want to track race, I really like AWD 2nd gen DSM's and Miata's" It really helps rather than saying, "I like imports and want to race, what's good?" Thanks for reading, and please do your best to follow these guidelines. I understand we can't narrow our search down too much or it wouldn't be a search anymore, but really, if you're being too vague it implies that you just want to be cool and follow the trends already set. And most of these aren't even racing as it should be. |
